Twin Peaks Bike Park: Rules

The Twin Peaks Bike Park is managed by the Niseko Area Mountain Bike Association (NAMBA). All trail users are required to adhere to the Twin Peaks Bike Park Rules to ensure their safet,y as well as the safety of other trail users, and to ensure the continued successful operation of the bike park.

Safety Rules

  1. By entering Twin Peaks, you accept that outdoor activities entail inherent risks, and you fully assume responsibility for your safety and well-being, as well as any accidents you are involved in or cause, which may include but are not limited to damages, loss of property, injuries, or death.
  2. Use appropriate equipment. Mountain bikers must wear helmets and are strongly encouraged to wear additional protective gear, and to ride well-maintained mountain bikes.
  3. Ride within your ability and always maintain control of your mountain bike in a way that allows you to safely avoid people and obstacles.
  4. When entering a trail, merging, or starting off, check your surroundings to avoid other users.
  5. Riders to the front have the right of way. Foot traffic must yield to riders.
  6. Be visible, and do not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above.
  7. Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or when impaired by illness or fatigue.

Park Rules

  1. By entering Twin Peaks you agree to follow all park rules and abide by all laws and regulations.
  2. Twin Peak bike park is open from June through to October from 7am - 7pm.
  3. Commercial operators such as guides and instructors must obtain a commercial licence. Users in violation of this rule will be banned from the park.
  4. Foot traffic is only permitted on designated multi-use trails.
  5. Do not stray from the marked trails.
  6. Leave no trace, do not litter, take all rubbish with you, take only pictures.
  7. Respect the environment and the local community. Do not disturb or harm any flora or fauna.
  8. No smoking or lighting of fires.
  9. Only mountain bikes, pedal assist e-bikes, and foot traffic are allowed.
  10. Do not modify or alter any trails, features, or signage within the bike park.
  11. Follow all posted signs and instructions when provided by NAMBA staff.
  12. The park is subject to closure due to maintenance activities or adverse weather conditions. Riding on the course when extremely wet may cause damage to park features.
  13. Report any potentially unsafe activity, occurrences or obstacles to NAMBA or to relevant authorities.
  14. Please park all vehicles at designated car parks Hirafu No.1, No.2, or Sunsportsland, and use public toilets within the village when necessary.

In case of an accident

Move out of the riding line and make yourself visible to other users. If necessary, contact emergency services and let them know your location.
